An Oxford man has been arrested after Johnson County deputies say he couldn’t determine if a substance inside his car was cocaine or methamphetamine.
According to arrest records, 65-year-old Michael Adams of the Parkview manufactured housing community on Lower Old Highway 6 was driving a 1996 Chrysler Concorde on Ireland Avenue near Railroad Street in Tiffin just after 12:15 on the morning of March 3rd when he was pulled over by a deputy for an equipment violation. A K9 alerted on the vehicle, and a white crystalline substance was found within Adams’ reach. Adams allegedly told investigators that he wasn’t sure if the substance was cocaine or meth. The substance was sent to the DCI lab, which determined earlier this week that it was meth.
Adams is now charged with Possession of Methamphetamine. If convicted, he faces up to one year in jail.
