Coralville Police say an Iowa City man masturbated and urinated in public in an apartment complex parking lot.
63-year-old Robert Gerard of Esther Court was allegedly seen exposing his genitals and masturbating in front of a witness at the Iowa Lodge on the Coralville Strip just before 11:30 Saturday night. He also reportedly urinated in the public lot, and later admitted to it.
Arriving officers say they found Gerard riding a bicycle on a public trail, almost hitting pedestrians. Police say he showed signs of intoxication and refused breath testing.
Gerard is now charged with Indecent Exposure and Public Intoxication. If convicted on both counts, he faces a maximum of 13 months in jail.
