A Tiffin man could faces jail time after allegedly driving drunk with a weapon.

The reported incident took place Saturday at 3:40am near the intersection of South Gilbert and Burlington streets, involving 34-year-old Terrence Brown. He was stopped for an alleged expired registration.

After an odor of ingested alcohol was detected, Brown allegedly admitted to having two drinks before getting behind the wheel. Field tests and a PBT were administered, and a Datamaster showed his breath-alcohol level slightly above the legal limit to drive.

Police say Brown had a firearm in the center console.

He was charged with OWI first offense and Person Ineligible to carry Dangerous Weapons, both serious misdemeanors.
