A continuance has been granted in the case of a Tiffin man accused of transmitting images of bestiality and child pornography.

According to criminal complaints, on June 8th of last year 32-year-old Cody Albin of West 3rd Street began transmitting a series of videos depicting persons engaged in sex acts with animals on the Kik chat platform.

Albin then allegedly posted video of a minor engaged in a sex act to another user on the same platform on June 9th, and then again on four different occasions on June 11th.

Albin faces one count of Bestiality and four counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children. If convicted on all charges, he faces a maximum of 52 years in prison.

Trial was originally set to begin on June 2nd. But on Friday, Judge Justin Lightfoot granted a continuance pushing that date back to September 8th.

A case management conference is set for July 10th.
