An Iowa City man was arrested Sunday afternoon after allegedly assaulting his neighbor.

Police were called to the 2100 block of Keokuk Street at around 1:15 pm on reports of an assault. The victim alleged 34-year-old Oliver Kadima punched him 5-6 times.

Kadima reportedly had a ring with an oval shape on his left pinky finger, and the victim had an injury to his head and arm that featured the same oval shape.

Despite claiming that the victim assaulted him first, Kadima had no marks on him.

Kadima was charged with Assault causing Bodily Injury, a serious misdemeanor punishable by a jail sentence of up to a year if convicted. A no-contact order was requested between the two parties.
