A group of community members came together for a peace vigil Monday night in the aftermath of this weekend’s Ped Mall shooting that left five injured.

Over 100 people gathered at Trinity Episcopal Church for a short service, followed by a unity walk to the Ped Mall site where the incident occurred.

The Gazette reports the diverse group of parents, grandparents, children, students, faith leaders and both longtime and newly-arrived community members were in attendance.

The event was organized by local faith communities and Moms Demand Action For Gun Sense in America, a group that grew out of the Sandy Hook school shooting in Connecticut in 2012.
